Make A Difference
Honor a Loved One
Honor a loved one, celebrate a special day or promote your business with a unique, lasting gift at your favorite MetroPark
Available options include benches, trees, shelters and swings. A commemorative plaque engraved to the donor’s specifications is displayed with each tribute item. Each option is endowed for a specific amount of time and maintained by MetroParks staff. At the end of the endowment, the donor will be notified and given the option to re-endow the item. If the donor chooses not to renew, the plaque will be removed and given to the donor as a keepsake. Families may also set up a fund to receive contributions toward a tree, bench, swing, shelter or trail. Tributes are not available at RiverScape or Deeds Point MetroParks.
Benches and Swings: $4000
Each bench/swing is adorned with a commemorative plaque (6″x1.5″) engraved according to the donor’s specifications. Five Rivers MetroParks determines sites available for bench/swing placement. Benches and swings are endowed for a ten-year period.
Trees: $2,500
Choose from established tribute trees or designated locations for new plantings, depending on the MetroPark. Specific types of trees and the placement of trees are determined by Five Rivers MetroParks. A commemorative plaque (6″x3″) engraved according to the donor’s specifications will be placed at the base of the tree. Trees are endowed for a ten-year period.
Trails: $500 – $4,200
Choose from the multiple trails at each MetroPark, which include nature, equestrian and paved trails. The entire trail is endowed and a commemorative marker with the recipient’s name placed at the trailhead. Trails are endowed from a five-year period and maintained by MetroParks staff.
Shelters: $10,000
Each shelter is adorned with a commemorative plaque (6″x3″) engraved according to the donor’s specifications. Shelters are endowed for a ten-year period.
Tribute trees, benches, swings, shelters and trails must be left as-is; no personal decorations or mementos may be added.
