An urban scene provide the backdrop for this point of land at the confluence of the Great Miami and Mad Rivers. It is easy to see why the first settlers of Dayton chose this site. If you have ever wondered about the early endeavors at flight prior to the Wright Brothers, you will want to study the plaques detailing those attempts located around the walkway. Cross country ski the bikeways on a winter day as you look out across a semi-frozen river moving slowly by below. |
