The Dayton area has a long history in paddle sports due to our bountiful network of rivers and streams. Five Rivers MetroParks is working on ways to facilitate paddle-sport recreation in the area, including new facilities and a plethora of programs for beginners to advanced canoe and kayak enthusiasts.

Local Water TrailsThe Dayton area has an incredible resource with its network of rivers and streams. Five Rivers MetroParks is actively working to create better access to water, increased amenities such as camping and potentially whitewater play spots. Ultimately, our vision is to have an integrated system of recreation and water trails that can be used in a variety of ways to improve the quality of life in the Dayton region.
