EcoTalk: Ohio Bald Eagle Status Update

On Sept. 25, 2024, Five Rivers MetroParks invited an environmental researcher to present on scientific topics relevant to the local community. These EcoTalk presentations are an effort to further connect us to nature by learning about conservation topics and ways to implement positive change at home.

As a wildlife biologist, Laura Kearns discussed the current status of bald eagles in the state of Ohio and North America. In the recorded presentation below, learn how regulations regarding eagles have changed in recent years and how their populations have recovered.
