RiverScape: Ice Rink Opening Weekend and Community Fitness at the Market
Thank You Visitors!
Whether you were here for a Summer Music Series concert, participated in a fitness class, attended a festival, or just came to enjoy the park, thank you for spending time with us. We hope to see all of you this winter as we get ready for ice skating! Stay tuned to our website and Facebook page for updates on all our upcoming activities and events.
We also want to send a big shout-out to our RiverScape team. Without our seasonal staff, volunteers, park technicians, and rangers, providing such a great outdoor experience would not be possible. We are incredibly grateful for their hard work and enthusiasm to continue to provide the community with a high-quality outdoor destination and memorable experiences.
2024 – 25 MetroParks Ice Rink Season: Nov. 29 to Feb. 28
Whether you’re a skating rookie, lacing up your skates for decades or looking for a festive place to hang out, there is a full slate of activities to choose from at the MetroParks Ice Rink. The Ice Rink, located within RiverScape MetroPark, features sweeping views of both the Great Miami River and the downtown Dayton skyline. Ice skating is a great way to experience the outdoors during the cooler weather and provides a winter tradition for families. Below are some ways that you can start getting ready for ice skating:
- Purchase a season pass: Give the gift of ice skating this year with a MetroParks Ice Rink season pass. Season passes are $40 for individuals and $120 for families of up to five (including ice skate rentals) and can be purchased online – and if you order before opening day, you’ll receive a 20% discount. Season passes will be available to purchase online beginning November 1.
- Consider renting the rink: The MetroParks Ice Rink is great for school field trips, office outings, family get-togethers, kids’ parties, club activities, church socials and more. Rink rentals are available most Sunday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. throughout the rink season. Private rentals are first come, first serve, and will be available for booking online beginning November 1.
- Check out activities, lessons and leagues: Take advantage of fun skating activities, such as lessons, themed skate nights, family skates, broomball, curling and more.
The MetroParks Ice Rink media is sponsored by WKEF 22 / FOX 45, Warming Zone provided by MSD, and is sponsored by USI Insurance Services and Rehabilitation Institute of Ohio.
Ice Rink Sponsorship Opportunities
There is still time to sponsor the MetroParks Ice Rink before the November 1 deadline. As a sponsor, your business will receive unique opportunities including the ability to support our Comfort Tent, Skate Helpers, Theme Nights, and more! Effectively enhance your traditional advertising, while making a positive impact on our community. By supporting essential programs, services, and facilities, you are demonstrating positive corporate citizenship without compromising environmental integrity and gaining greater visibility within the community.
