Nestled between woodland’s edge and the perennial bounty of the Arbor Garden lies the Arbor Lawn. Here, where the arbor path meets an open expanse of lawn, accommodate as many as 100 guests or an intimate gathering in this northern most position in the formal gardens at Wegerzyn. Rates start at $300 for a one-hour hosted rental.
Rental Guidelines
When reserving the Arbor Lawn at Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark please refer to the Supplemental Guidelines for Permitted Activities.
The following is a list of key guidelines pertaining to use of the gardens.
- The use of tents, tables or chairs is not allowed. However, with advance notice Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark staff will make every effort to accommodate guests with special needs.
- Access to the garden venue is restricted to pedestrian access only. Personal items to be used in conjunction with garden rentals must be carried to the rental area from the parking lot. The garden venue is ADA accessible.
- Decoration is limited to real flower petals or bubbles. Artificial flower petals, glitter, confetti of any kind, birdseed, rice and balloons are all prohibited. Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark’s displays, plantings, fixtures and signage should not be moved or obstructed. Large decorations must be approved by Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark management staff prior to the event date.
- Glass containers are not allowed.
- Do not pick flowers or greenery or attach decoration to plantings or park fixtures.
- When amplified sound is permitted for a garden rental, sound transmission must be confined to the reserved area in order to minimize disruption to other park visitors and activities. Location of sound source must be approved by Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark management staff.
- Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark is open to the public during posted park hours. The public may not be excluded from entering reserved garden venues.
- Alternate accommodations are not available at Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark in the event of inclement weather. Please consider an alternate location in the event weather conditions necessitate a cancellation.
- Gardens change from season to season. A reserved area may take on a different appearance depending on the time of year and weather conditions. Don’t be surprised if the garden you’ve reserved doesn’t appear the way it did at your last visit. We encourage you to visit as often as you’d like but especially just prior to your special day!
- Alcohol is not allowed in the garden venues.
- A site meeting with Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark management staff is required prior to final approval.

What does the rental fee cover?
The rental fee includes access to the requested area. Keep in mind that Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark is open to the public; so you will not have exclusive use of the requested area.

Can I bring in tents, tables or chairs?
Due to limited access to the gardens, we do not allow tents, tables or chairs to be brought to the grounds. However, if special accommodations for guests with physical limitations are required please contact us.
Can I play music during my event?
Music is permitted but cannot be amplified over the entire grounds.
Rental Rates
Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark outdoor spaces can be reserved for one hour for private events for $300.

The reservable spaces at Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark are managed through Special Use Permits. Please use the “Private Event” application for weddings, ceremonies and other private events.
