Bike to Work Day Pancake Breakfast - May 16, 2025

From 7 - 9 a.m., celebrate the National Bike to Work Day with MetroParks' annual pancake breakfast at RiverScape MetroPark. A fun, free way to start your day!

Five Rivers MetroParks invites the community to celebrate National Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 16, during its annual Bike to Work Day Pancake Breakfast at RiverScape MetroPark, 237 E. Monument Ave.

From 7 to 9 AM hundreds of cycling enthusiasts will gather to enjoy a free, flying pancake breakfast, coffee, live music, cycling-related exhibitors, a photobooth and more during this celebration of human-powered transportation.

“The morning is all about celebrating the positive impacts human-powered transportation can have on your body, wellbeing and the planet,” said MetroParks Special Events Coordinator Chris Buck Plus, why not make your commute to work an actual adventure?”

In 2024, nearly 290 cyclists rode 4,500 miles to RiverScape MetroPark.

Pre-Register Your Ride

Pre-registering your ride allows you to get to your pancakes a little quicker and helps our volunteers get you signed in upon arrival. Pre-registering is easy and can be done online. Pre-registration is not required, but encouraged to help you save time.

Plan Your Route

To find a route from your home to RiverScape MetroPark, visit miamivalleytrails.org. For those who don’t want to ride a considerable distance, participants are welcome to park their cars at a trail access area and ride to RiverScape MetroPark from a closer starting point.

Cycling Expo and Live Music

Enjoy live music from the RiverScape Pavilion stage, in addition to many local cycling organizations, retailers and more.

Group Challenge

New this year, special recognition will be given to those who participate in a Bike to Work Day group challenge. Three winning teams will be selected based on total miles traveled and the size of each team.

Bike month is the entire month of May and there are plenty of opportunities for you to Get Out & Bike, including the Miami Valley Cycling Summit on May 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hollenbeck Bayley Center in Springfield, Ohio. Other cycling events in May include:
