Biscuit
- Registered Name: Biscuit
- Breed: Morgan

- Gender: Gelding
- Year of Birth: 2003
- Height: 14.3 hands
I was one of the first horses to arrive here, along with my brother Monday and our friends Duncan and Sassy. We all came to live here in 2008. I am a favorite pick for lessons because I am energetic, I listen well (most of the time…we all have our moments right?) and I have a nice smooth trot and canter.
Buckeye
- Registered Name: Buckeye
- Breed: Spotted Draft
- Color: Dark Bay
- Gender: Gelding
- Year of Birth: 2006
- Height:Â 16.1 hands
I am the heaviest horse in the barn, weighing somewhere between 1,500-2,000 pounds. Before I worked in lessons and on trail rides at Carriage Hill, I was one of the Five Rivers MetroParks Mounted Patrol horses. I am currently one of the vaulting horses due to my slow speed, broad back, and easy-going personality.

Eclipse
- Registered Name: Eclipse
- Breed: Hackney Pony
- Color: Dark Bay
- Gender: Gelding
- Year of Birth: 2003
- Height: 10.3 hands
I came to MetroParks with my brother, Legacy. I am friends with my pasture buddy Oreo. During the weekends I help out by giving pony rides. Kids love me! To be considered a pony a horse must be under 14.2 hands. At first glance one might think a pony is simply a young horse, however ponies mature at smaller heights making them a perfect candidate for children, cart pulling or trick ponies.
Hank
- Registered Name: Honky Tonk Blue
- Breed: Dartmoor Quarter Pony Cross
- Color: Grullo
- Gender: Gelding
- Year of Birth: 2005
- Height: 13.1 hands
The grullo color is the rarest of all body coat colors! I came to live here in 2014 with my friend TeeJay. We moved here from Athens, Ohio, where I worked doing mostly trail rides, with some arena work and pulling a cart. I now help out with lessons, camps and trail rides.
My Dartmoor line is recognized by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust as a vulnerable breed. Their numbers dropped from almost 26,000 in the 1930’s to only about 5,000 today.
Jesse
- Registered Name: Just Call Me Stormy
- Breed: Pony of the Americas (POA)
- Color: Varnish Roan
- Gender: Gelding
- Year of Birth: 2003
- Height: 13.1 hands
I was born with a darker base coat color with some spots and then as I’ve grown older, the white hairs have increased over my body making me look lighter. I moved here from Florida and I needed to wear a blanket my first winter here because I wasn’t used to the cold weather. I used to be in shows pulling a cart. Now I help out in lessons, camps, trail rides, and pony rides.
