Overview
The Wegerzyn Gardens Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization whose purpose is to support Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark by conducting fundraising activities and enlarging membership. Money raised through memberships adds to funds from Five Rivers MetroParks to achieve our vision of becoming a leading Midwest center for horticulture, gardening, environmental education and land stewardship. Your membership will enable us to fund key elements of Wegerzyn’s evolving master plan – perhaps stately new plazas overlooking the formal gardens. Please join us!

Support for the Future:
The Benjamin Wegerzyn Legacy Society
Named in the spirit of Benjamin Wegerzyn, this Legacy Society was established to help provide for the long-term financial stability of the Wegerzyn Gardens Foundation. Mr. Wegerzyn ‘s first legacy gift in 1967 helped create this center for horticultural education and gardening, and upon his death in 1997, he left a second legacy gift for the continuance of the programs at Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark. The Legacy Society represents committed people who have seen the impact of Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark on the lives of many people. Society members support the Foundation’s mission and as a body symbolize their desire to see Wegerzyn’s programs and services continue.

Gifts can be made in a variety of ways to help maximize donor’s charitable benefits, including:

  • Bequests by Will
  • Life Insurance
  • Retirement Funds
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts
  • Charitable Lead Trusts
