Winter Update

Stroll into the park as winter stalls over the Wolf Creek valley and see this park as nature intended. Crisp and clean with fresh snow. This is a perfect location for a short hike along the trail any time of day. Sign up to volunteer help students learn about nature through the many programs held at Adventure Central.

    • Situated on Wolf Creek, it’s hard to believe this scenic, natural area is located within Dayton city limits. Beautiful woodlands, the river and wildlife bring urban residents close to nature. In addition, Wesleyan is the site of Adventure Central, an innovative partnership between MetroParks and Ohio State University Extension, 4-H Youth Development. Here urban youth learn more about the environment and themselves through after-school programs, clubs and camps.

    • Directions
From State Route 35, take the Gettysburg Exit, then turn right. Go 3 miles, turn right on Cornell Dr. Go 2 blocks to Wesleyan Rd., turn right. Park is on the right side of the street.

TO ADVENTURE CENTRAL: 2222 James H. McGee Blvd., Dayton. Take St. Rt. 35 to the James H. McGee Blvd. exit. Travel north over 2 miles. Adventure Central is a barn red brick building with a small parking lot in front. Call to ask about overflow parking.

      Public Transportation
      RTA Bus Route 4
Take route 4 traveling northwest on James H McGee Blvd. This route will take you directly past Wesleyan MetroPark

    • This inner city natural area contains mature floodplain forest, young upland forest, and high quality aquatic habitat in Wolf Creek.
