Gardens and Habitats
The landscaping and Wiles Creek of Aullwood Garden MetroPark creates a serene feeling. The diverse habitats of Aullwood Garden MetroPark make it a great place for nature study, shade tolerant flowers, birding, relaxing and observing butterflies. Something is in flower most of the year, with spring showcasing masses of bulbs, wildflowers, and Lenten roses, followed by red buds and peonies in June. The prairie and the butterfly garden are best in July, and then in August the magic lilies, Colchicum (some species until October) and hardy begonia bloom

Prairie
Walk among the flowers and watch butterflies.hummingbirds and hummingbird moths as they sip nectar.

Lilac Lawn
This garden is fragrant and floriferous in May. As the season progresses, see the beautiful clematis vines growing among the shrubs.

Prairie
This native prairie is home to many birds and other wildlife. It's a great place to watch nesting bluebirds, indigo buntings, gold finches and song sparrows.

Historic Features
Aullwood Garden MetroPark is one of the Miami Valley’s most historic garden parks. It has a bur oak tree with the 1913 flood watermark. A twin sycamore aged when Christopher Columbus discovered America in 1492. The Aull house is open occasionally for tours. This country garden and home dates to 1907 and is on the Ohio State and National Historic Registries.
