Dayton Music Fest presents

Saturday, October 4

11:00 am Meghna & The Majority: Meghna & the Majority's originals are a blend of singer-songwriter, pop, jazz and soulful R&B. They also cover various artists including Sia, Lily Allen, The Civil Wars, Ingrid Michaelson, Sara Bareilles, Norah Jones, Florence + the Machine, Lana Del Rey, as well as unique interpretations of songs by The White Stripes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nine Inch Nails, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, and many other popular hits from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's.
Noon Dear Fawn: Dear Fawn is an indie band from Dayton, Ohio.
1:00 pm Starving in the Belly of the Whale: Starving in the Belly of the Whale is the music of Ricky Terrell. The band's fragile folk-pop is influenced by the likes of the Velvet Underground, Billie Holiday, Bob Dylan, and Tom Waits.
2:00 pm Luke Frazier: Luke Frazier's music is influenced by everything under the sun - from bubblegum pop to things you can only imagine.
3:00 pm Ghost Town Silence: Ghost Town Silence (formerly The Rebel Set) is a four piece rock n' roll band from Dayton, Ohio.
4:00 pm Ward Lawson: Born and raised and living Dayton, singer/songwriter, hoarder, and lover of animals Ward Lawson produces songs that range from studio tracks to heart-filled home recordings.
5:00 pm Human Cannonball: Southeast Engine's wildly talented bassist & harmony vocalist Jesse Remnant writes and records in a band called Human Cannonball. Backed by a band of equally talented Dayton, OH sons, Remnant's knack for melody is quite remarkable.
6:00 pm Jah Soul: Jah Soul's overall sound is a combination of styles, Reggae, Soul, Funk & Disco. Mixing it up with sexy & well crafted, catchy original music and just enough covers to keep the party going' in a funky way -like Sly & the Family Stone, Prince, Blondie & Madonna.
7:00 pm The New Old-Fashioned: Led by vocalist and songwriter David Payne, the voices and instruments of Kent Montgomery (Guitar), Tom Blackbern (Bass) & Matt Oliver (Drums) are very present in the New Old-Fashioned's signature sound: big, choral vocal harmonies atop a thick Americana backdrop. Upon first listen, TNOF's primary influences will become apparent: picture the heartland rock of Tom Petty or the Old 97's paired with the big vocals of the Beach Boys or Queen.
