GEARFEST COUNTDOWN |
Free Camping ::
Imagine camping on the banks of the Mad River in Paddlers Grove or in the shade trees of Hikersville. Visitors always camp at GearFest for FREE!
The 2009 GearFest campground was conveniently located at Eastwood MetroPark right next to all the action at GearFest. Campers were free to wander in and out of GearFest at their leisure or relax at their site and enjoy one of bands performing during the event.
There are plenty of other options for fun and adventure while camping at Eastwood MetroPark. The Miami Valley Recreational Trail system travels through the park providing excellent access for biking, walking, blading or running on paved trail. For those looking for an off-road adventure bring your Mountain Bike and ride 8-miles of the sweetest single-track in Ohio at MoMBA(MetroParks Mountain Bike Area). MoMBA is minutes from Eastwood. Finally, the Mad River and Eastwood’s Blue Lake are located within the park boundaries. Load up your canoe or kayak and explore the region on these beautiful bodies of water!
A campground host will be on-site for the weekend to answer any questions. In addition, MetroParks security will be on site 24-7 for any safety or rowdy camper concerns. You can call 937-225-HELP for emergency situations.
