Park and Ride
Is the length of your commute intimidating? Are you not yet comfortable riding on the streets? Still want to participate in Bike to Work Day? Consider a Park & Ride. Below are several suggestions for convenient areas where you can park your car and then bike to RiverScape MetroPark using one of our many paved bike trails. With a Park & Ride you are still reducing your carbon footprint and gaining the many health benefits of biking before work.
Like to ride with others? Be a bike ride instigator and get your friends and coworkers to meet you for a morning ride-in.

- Fifth Third Gateway Park (Beavercreek): Creekside Trail
- Carillon Park: Great Miami Trail (3.5 mile ride)
Greater Dayton RTA Bus & Bike
Five Rivers MetroParks is partnering with the Greater Dayton RTA to offer you an opportunity to reduce your commute and your carbon footprint while still participating in Bike to Work Day.
Only on May 19, you can use your bike as a bus pass and ride for free. Ride your bike to a convenient bus stop, load your bike on the bus bike rack and be bussed for free to your desired destination. When you arrive, unload your bike and ride the rest of the way to the Bike to Work Celebration! By combining a bus ride with a bike ride you can easily navigate a challenging or long commute. Drive Less & Live More!
Easy-to-use bike racks are available year-round on all RTA buses, routed specifically to provide bicyclists with convenient transportation to work, local bikeways and universities. Each light-weight rack conveniently holds two bicycles. To learn more, watch a video of the easy loading process.
