Update on recent changes within the MetroParks and Dayton, Ohio area that are taking us closer to becoming the outdoor capital of the Midwest.

Greg grew up canoeing the spring-fed rivers of Missouri and northern Arkansas including the Current, Eleven Point and Jack’s Fork. He is a whitewater and sea kayaker with boating experience on classic whitewater runs of the southeast including the Chattooga, Ocoee, Nantahala, Nolichucky, Upper Green (North Carolina) and Big Pigeon. He has also had the opportunity to paddle surf, sea and rivers in Florida and British Columbia.

Greg, also an avid mountain biker, snowboarder and recovering triathlete, is the Director of Recreation at Five Rivers MetroParks. Greg is a zealous event creator and through Five Rivers MetroParks has co-founded the The Adventure Summit, in conjunction with Wright State University’s Outdoor Recourse Center, and GearFest, a celebration of the outdoors. Greg is also instrumental in the development of a system of MetroParks-based outdoor adventure facilities in the Dayton area, which are helping Daytonians Get Out and Live! close to home.
