When we venture outdoors, we expose ourselves to innumerable hazards.  Bites, envenomation, disease, environmental extremes, falls… all can lead to a nasty demise.  We can reduce our risk through knowledge and preparation—what you do know is less likely to kill you!

Dr. Springer is an avid outdoorsman, hiker, and bicyclist.  He is an assistant professor at the WSU Department of Emergency Medicine, and director of the Division of Tactical Emergency Medicine, providing and overseeing medical care for multiple law enforcement agencies.
