Presentation: Climbing the Grand Teton: Then and Now
Back to presentation schedule
Climbing the Grand Teton is just one of many adventures Alex Cook has completed in his 25 years. This presentation will take a look at the very first people to name, explore, and climb the Grand Teton contrasting with the climb that Alex completed this past summer.
Alex Cook graduated with a degree in Geology from The University of Dayton in 2007, and is now currently attending The University of Dayton for grad school in order to get his teaching license. In 2004, Alex helped found the Outdoor Adventure Club at UD and was then president in 2006-2007. After graduation, Alex took his passion of rocks to work out west for one year in Colorado with other geologists. Upon his return, Alex joined the Five Rivers Outdoor Recreation department, and has been a loyal intern since. With a passion for the outdoors, geology, rocks and adventure, Alex has had lots of fun making multiple trips up Mount Washington, climbing the Grand Teton and has lots to share with us at this year’s Adventure Summit! |
