Presenter:  Nat Davis
Presentation:  Wilderness Canoeing:  A Guide to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area
Back to presentation schedule

The Boundary Waters Canoe Area of northeastern Minnesota has some of the finest wilderness canoeing in North America.  The program will discuss what you need to know to have a great trip:  planning, permits, outfitters, what to take, what to leave at home, fishing, paddling routes and more!

Nat Davis is an avid outdoorsman.  He has enjoyed camping, backpacking, and fishing all his life.  He was introduced to wilderness canoeing in the late 1990s and he has planned and organized five trips to the Boundary Waters.  These trips ranged in length from five to nine days on the water, covering between 20 and 75 miles of paddling and portaging.  Nat enjoys helping others learn about the Boundary Waters and enabling them to take their own wilderness canoe trips.
