For those of you who have never been to the Grand Canyon, or those who have only viewed her splendor from the Rim, have you ever yearned to venture into her depths? Join us for this incredible slide show and discussion as we enjoy the magic and inner canyon warmth on a six day backpacking trip in the beauty and awe of Grand Canyon National Park. We will descend deep into the Canyon eventually making our way to the Colorado River, spending five nights under a blanket of stars and getting a multitude of unique highlights along the way, including waterfalls, raging rapids, beach campsites, and panoramic views of the canyon that can only be experienced from the bottom looking up.

Douglas Wagoner is owner and chief guide at Green Earth Outdoors, a sustainable adventure travel company, outdoor retailer, and outdoor training provider based in Louisville, Kentucky.   Gaining experience and a respect for the outdoors at a very young age, Douglas has been sharing his outdoor knowledge with others for most of his life. A professional guide since 1991, he has lead numerous backpacking, canoeing and climbing expedition throughout the US to many of our country’s most unique natural treasures, sharing with others his deep passion for responsible recreation. He is a Leave No Trace Master Educator Instructor, a Wilderness First Responder, an American Canoe Association Canoe Instructor/Trip Leader, and a certified Environmental Educator and has been nationally recognized for his outdoor ethics and conservation efforts.
