Back to presentation schedule

Iceland is a constantly evolving landmass and a volcanic hotspot. With a population of a little over 300,000 people (most of who reside in the capital city of Reykjavik) Iceland’s vast wilderness is a giant playground for outdoor enthusiasts. Although it is only about the size of the state of Kentucky, Iceland boasts an array of outdoor activities including hiking, backpacking, ice climbing and whitewater rafting.

In May 2011, Allison and her husband Eric traveled around the entire island of Iceland in eleven days experiencing Icelandic culture, the ever-changing weather and outdoor adventure. Join Allison for a lively presentation about Iceland’s great outdoors including stunning pictures of the Icelandic landscape.

Allison is originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and a recent transplant to the Cincinnati area. In her free time Allison enjoys planning her next outdoor adventure whether it is on land, water or in the snow.
