  • Mountain Bike Ride at MoMBA (MetroParks Mountain Biking Area)
    MoMBAGrab your mountain bike, helmet and friends to Get Out and “Do the MoMBA”.  MoMBA offers 8 –miles of the sweetest single track in our region including trails for both the novice and advanced rider.  MoMBA trails are open year round.

  • Check out our Bikeways
    Rec Trails
    The Miami Valley offers hundreds of miles of paved bikeways encouraging visitors to get out and bike, walk or blade through our region.  These trails travel through Clark, Greene (Home of the Adventure Summit), Miami, Northern Warren and Montgomery Counties taking visitors through some of the most scenic and historic areas of our region.

  • Wright State University Outdoor Resource Center
    http://www.wright.edu/crec/programs/images/ORClogo_000.jpgThe ORC creates opportunities to build adventure skills through a variety of hands on clinics and instructional workshops. Outdoor trips are designed to be low risk, affordable, educational, and fun. Our events are designed to accommodate all levels of experience, from the curious novice to the accomplished mountain climber.  It is our goal to help people feel more connected to one another and to develop an appreciation for the great outdoors and our natural resources.

    Team building activities can now be facilitated at the new Climbing Tower and Low Ropes Course. These facilities help promote self-discovery, the development of social skills, mutual respect, fair play, and sportsmanship while encouraging friendship and camaraderie. Positive relationships are built through laughter, while celebrating successes and accomplishments.

  • Wright State University Outdoor Adventure Clubs

  • Play Some Disc Golf
    GearFest 2008This sport is rapidly growing in popularity in Ohio with over 35 courses within Southwestern Ohio.  The Dayton Disc Golf Association is very active in our community with tournaments and events almost every week on local courses. 

    While you're in town, check out the new Blue Heron disc golf course at Englewood MetroPark or one of the many other courses in the Dayton Area.
  • Backpack on the Twin Valley Trail
    TVTLooking for a backcountry backpacking experience that traverses many different natural habitats with rich biodiversity and wildlife? Welcome to the Twin Valley Trail. The newest recreation experience in Five Rivers MetroParks combines the existing network of trails in Germantown and Twin Creek MetroParks with a connection to create a longer, more integrated trail system. Set in the rolling hills of the Twin Valley, it provides a backpacking experience reminiscent of backcountry wilderness trails with beautiful hills, babbling brooks, abundant wildlife, history and small town charm.  Secluded camping opportunities are sprinkled throughout this 22 mile trail that connects Germantown and Twin Creek MetroPark. Group and secluded backcountry camping will allow everyone to experience the wilds of the Twin Valley and this rural corner of Montgomery County like never before.
