Laser, Light & Music Shows
Eighteen different musically themed Laser, Light and Music Shows will be presented almost every Friday and Saturday evening Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend (and on Dayton Dragons home game nights).

RiverTunes Summer Music Concert Series
Almost every Saturday night from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day weekend enjoy the best of local bands performing everything from Rock and Roll to Bluegrass.

Big Band Nites
This series of exciting performances almost every Thursday night in July and August feature the area's best big bands. A fabulous laser, light, and music show caps the evening.

Tuesday Tales
Series of free cultural, history and entertainment programs designed for preschoolers. Sessions held twice per month in June, July and August.

Paw Walkers
Borrow a dog from the Humane Society of Greater Dayton and explore the Great Miami River Recreation Trail for a 45-minute walk. Great health benefits for you and the dog.

Skating at RiverScape

Rent the Rink for Your Next Party or Outing
The ice rink available for rent Sunday through Thursday evenings from 6-8 p.m. Cost is $150 and includes 50 pairs of ice skates. Call 937-274-0126 for more information or to reserve your date!

Skate Rentals
Sizes range from preschool size 8 though women’s size 10 and men’s size 15 in whole sizes. Call (937) 278-2607 for more details.

Season Passes

  • After-School Pass
Get an 8-Week After-School Pass good for ice skate rental and admission, Monday – Friday, 3-5:30 pm, Jan. 5– Feb. 22, 2009 for only $12 per person. If you have your own ice skates, there is no fee during this time!
  • Season Passes
Season passes are available for purchase for $40 per person and $60 per family of four. Season passes allow you to skate (including skate rental) anytime the rink is open to the public Nov. 29, 2008 – Feb. 22, 2009.

Lessons
We offer a wide range of introductory lessons at very reasonable prices. Almost any Sunday, drop in for one lesson and learn the basics to get you skating in one hour for $3 plus the $3 admission fee which includes skates.

Drop in for one lesson or attend each week.  One-hour lessons are taught by seasoned professionals.  You or your child will learn the correct way to fall, skate forward, stop forward, skate backwards and glide on two feet.  $3 for lesson and additional $3 admission fee to ice rink includes skate rental. Lessons begin at 2 p.m. No lessons on Dec. 28 or Feb. 15.  Open to all ages. Call 278-2607.

"4 X the Fun" Basic Building Blocks of Ice Skating (all ages) (weather permitting)
Every Tuesday, January 13 through February 3, 4-5 p.m. or
Every Tuesday, January 13 through February 3, 7-8 p.m.
Gain a solid foundation of ice skating skills in this four week course taught by a seasoned professional. In addition to basic forward and backward skating, safety rules and stops, students will learn basic turning, maneuverability, and use of their edges. Fee includes use of rental ice skates. Minimum 4 participants required. Open to all ages.  Fee: $25 includes use of ice skates. Reservations required & limited: Call 278-2607.

Skating at RiverScape

Intro to Ice Dance (ages 14 & older) (weather permitting)
Monday, January 12 -- 7 p.m.  - 8 p.m.
A class for adults and older children (14 and older) with some basic skating ability. Students will learn the fundamentals of ice dancing, including simple steps and rhythms. Rain date Feb. 2. Fee includes use of rental skates if needed. Minimum 4 participants required. Fee: $5.  Reservations required & limited: Call 278-2607.

Ice Princesses (weather permitting)
Tuesday, January 13 -- 6 p.m.  - 6:30 p.m.
For young girls (ages 2-6 years) with big dreams. Basic skating instruction and fun, with a "Princess Tea Time" (off-ice) at 6:30 p.m. (after 1/2 hour class on ice). Costumes (over warm winter clothes) are optional. Raindate: Feb 10. Fee includes use of rental ice skates. Minimum 4 participants required. Fee: $5. Reservations required & limited: Call 278-2607.

“So You Think You Can Skate?” (all ages) (weather permitting)
Every Thursday, January 15 through February 5, 4-5 p.m.
Students who have already mastered the basic skills of skating can learn more advanced fundamentals in this series of four lessons. Minimum 4 participants required. Fee: $25 includes use of ice skates. Reservations required & limited: Call 278-2607.

Ice Pirates (weather permitting)
Tuesday, January 20 -- 6 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
For little boys (ages 2-6) with goals for the future. A basic introduction to skating followed by a fireside treat. Costumes (over winter clothes) are optional. Raindate: Feb. 17. Minimum 4 participants required. Fee: $5. includes ice skate rental if needed. Fee: $5. Reservations required & limited: Call 278-2607.

Skate in Shape (ages 14 & older) (weather permitting)
Monday, January 26 -- 7 p.m.  - 8 p.m.
For adults and older children (14 & older) with basic skating ability. Students learn to skate faster, improve their posture, look better on the ice and get a more efficient workout when they skate. Rain date Feb. 9. Fee includes use of rental skates if needed. Minimum 4 participants required. Fee: $5. Reservations required & limited: Call 278-2607.
