Aullwood Garden MetroPark Photography Contest
The four seasons of Aullwood Gardens MetroPark is the focus of this 2009 juried contest. Announcement of winners will be January, 2010. All submitted photos will be on display at Aull House for our spring kick-off for Aullwood Garden MetroPark in March 2010. Adult Rowing
Adult sweep rowing for men and women: practices Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6pm to 8pm and Saturdays 8am to 10 am.at Greater Dayton Rowing Club. Previous rowing experience and membership with GDRA are required. Visit: daytonrowing.org for more information.

Home School Garden Club
Children will meet from April-September to design and care for their own vegetable garden plot as well as learn about gardening topics through fun games and activities. Participants are required to make a commitment to attending the full season at the time of registration. Reservations required & limited: Call 277-6545 or register online. Please note: we have updated the registration process for 2009. Due to the popularity of this program, a random drawing will be used to fill the club this year. Children can be entered by registering them online or by phone from March 2 to March 16. One ticket per family will be created and entered into a pool. The first eighteen youth whose names are chosen will be admitted into the club. All interested families will be notified of their spot in the club or on the waiting list by March 20.

Silver Gardeners
Active seniors who love to garden and make friends meet each week the Wegerzyn Community Gardens. Grow flowers, herbs and vegetables and learn organic techniques for pest and weed control, mulching and fertilizing. Take home or donate produce and flowers. Gloves, tools, and refreshments are provided. Meet Thursdays through August 13. You may join us at any time during the planting and growing season. A minimum of seven participants is required. Reservations are requested and walk-ins are welcome. Call 277-6545 or register online.

Seniors with limited mobility are invited to garden in a wheel chair- and walker-accessible area with raised containers. Gloves, tools, and refreshments are provided. Meet Wednesdays through August 19. Every week learn something new about plant and root growth, mulching and weeding. Taste and take home vegetables and flowers, enjoy cooking demonstrations and impromptu parties. You may join us at any time during the planting and growing season. Registration required and limited, call 277-6545.

These 1/2 day camps run for 5 days June through August and are for youth with an interest in horsemanship through equestrian education of stable management, equine nutrition, and of course, riding. The benefits are to improve their lives by encouraging exercise, establishing partnerships with horses, building teamwork, art projects and other activities that connect them to nature.
