Weekend Pony Rides
Do you have a little wrangler that is too young for horse camp but can't wait to ride? Join the MetroParks Riding Center Staff on Saturdays and Sundays starting April 3rd through October 31st for a hand led pony ride for youngsters 7 and under. Staff members will lead youth around the MetroParks Riding Center Arena for a memorable riding experience. Bring your camera to capture this unforgettable moment. Reservations are not required. Weekend Horseback Riding
Five Rivers MetroParks weekend trail rides are a great opportunity to experience nature from horseback on our beautiful bridle trail. Your guide will take you on a one hour ride through Carriage Hill MetroPark. Rides run every two hours, thru Oct 31. All participants must be at least 48 inches tall to trail ride. Horse Camps for Adults
This camp is designed for 18 and over adults who want to learn basic horsemanship and equitation. Class is Monday thru Friday 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Be ready to ride a variety of horses. Class is limited to 5 so register early. Students should wear boots with 1' heel, appropriate riding attire such as jeans or breeches, and helmets are provided and required. For specific camp dates, availability and reservations call the Riding Center at (937) 274-3120.

Fly Tying for Steelhead Trout
Learn the basics of tying flies for steelhead trout including an overview of tools, materials and patterns needed to tie your own fly. Students will tie two to three flies a night during the three-part series. The book Steelhead Guide will be used as a reference for steelhead patterns. All tools and materials are provided. Urban Bikes @ Urban Nights
This Outdoor Community Calendar event is not a MetroParks program. Preview all the festivities at Urban Nights from the seat of a bike and join other 'bike-minded individuals' in promoting the cyclists right to the road and continuing to make Dayton more bike-friendly. Ride leaves at 5:30PM. Helmets are recommended. Ride will end at Courthouse Square. Vallet bike parking available.

Help maintain the Twin Valley Trail--a backpacking trail connecting Germantown and Twin Creek MetroParks. No experience necessary. Bring your water and work gloves; tools and instruction provided.
