National Bike To Work Day Pancake Breakfast image Cyclists Drive Less Live More
Friday May 18, 2012 - 6:00 am – 9:30 am   www.drivelesslivemore.org

BIKE TO RIVERSCAPE METROPARK FOR BIKE TO WORK DAY
Enjoy FREE pancakes, friends, music, and head to work!

Bike To Work Day logoIn 2011, Bike to Work Day moved to Riverscape MetroPark's Bike Hub with rave reviews. The weather was spectacular and the scene was festive.

Over 500 bike commuters joined us for a tasty pancake breakfast and celebrated Dayton’s bronze level bicycle friendly community status.

Their efforts contributed to a total of 4,934 miles traveled by bike on their way to and from work. At 25 miles per gallon fuel efficiency, that is 197 gallons of gas saved from consumption. In addition, our composting efforts kept eight 50 gallon garbage bags of bio degradable serving items and food scraps out of the landfill.

Please continue to use your bike for recreation, transportation and physical fitness. You will feel better and will help make Dayton an even better place to live, work and play.

Team Challenge:
Congratulations to the City of Dayton for winning the Team Challenge for a fourth year in a row.  LJB, inc and the University of Dayton finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.   Please visit our team challenge page to view the final results from 2011, and to see how you can get a team involved in 2012.
