Five Rivers MetroParks allows some groups, such as boy scouts and church groups,
to explore their wild side with Group Camping in many of our parks. Camping is a
great way to experience nature at dusk, dawn and even after dark. To find out if
you group qualifies call (937) 275-PARK.
Public camping is not offered in the Five Rivers MetroParks. For information about

Night Flyers Family Campout
Local families came out for this fun and educational overnight experience intended
to introduce them to camping. A Five Rivers MetroParks naturalist led an evening
focusing on night flyers such as bats and owls, followed by a campfire with s'mores
and stories, and a morning hike led by Five Rivers Outdoors through beautiful Englewood
MetroPark.

Meteor Shower Family Campout
Local families came out for this fun and educational overnight experience intended
to introduce them to camping. A Five Rivers MetroParks naturalist led an evening
of watching the Perseid Meteor Shower followed by a campfire with s'mores and stories
and a morning hike led by Five Rivers Outdoors that will take you through beautiful
Twin Creek MetroPark.

Organized groups with environmental education objectives can schedule group camping in a
number of MetroParks. Permits are required and can be obtained at the Five Rivers MetroParks
Main Office. Most sites are primitive. Bring gear, food and water. Due to the threat of the
emerald ash borer, do not bring firewood to any MetroPark facility. To find out if you group
