  Help Fight Honeysuckle
Bush honeysuckle was first brought to the U.S. from Asia in the 1800’s as a form of erosion control. In the 100+ years since then, this plant has spread widely and is out-competing native plant species in our woods and forests. Shrubs and young trees are girdled by honeysuckle vines and dense honeysuckle growths on woodland floors block sunlight from native plants trying to grow there. Help us protect our woodlands by controlling the bush honeysuckle in Montgomery County.
