A discussion of a recent EKU trip leader training trip to the Wind River Range in Wyoming, with photos, video, and a discussion of why such wilderness places are truly the best classroom, how it impacted our staff, and what the logistics of such a trip entail. For anyone interested in the Wind River Range, the idea of wilderness, or education.

Jason Burton has been exploring the Wind River Range for over 10 years and has been an outdoor educator for nearly as long. Brian Clark is the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation – Adventure Programs at Eastern Kentucky University and has been an outdoor educator for 8 years. Together in 2005 they had an epic adventure in the Wind River Range that cemented their feelings on what can be learned in the wilderness.
